Business Networking Events in Sydney

Sydney's networking calendar is spread across Eventbrite, Meetup, chamber newsletters and council websites, so finding something worth your evening usually means checking five places. This page puts the upcoming ones in and around Sydney in one list: the date, the suburb, who runs it and what it costs. Most of these events are run by outside organisers, like local councils, business chambers and universities. CoHub lists them so you can find them, and each card tells you who's behind it. To register for those, you go to the organiser's own page. Events hosted by CoHub members are run and booked on CoHub.

Where Sydney's business events happen

Three parts of Sydney do most of the hosting. The CBD and Haymarket suit anything straight after work, because everyone can walk or catch a train and nobody needs to park. Parramatta is a genuine second option: it has trains, the ferry, the M4 and, since late 2024, light rail through to Westmead, and parking is easier to find than in the city, which matters for a 7am breakfast. North Sydney is the third. Since the Victoria Cross metro station opened in 2024, it's a few minutes from Martin Place. Further west and south-west, local councils regularly run free small-business workshops and information sessions, which are some of the most useful rooms to be in if your customers are local. This list covers anything within about 50 km of the CBD, which takes in Parramatta, Bankstown, Liverpool, Campbelltown and Penrith.

Common questions

Where can I find business networking events in Sydney?

This page lists upcoming business networking events within about 50 km of the Sydney CBD, with the date, suburb, organiser and price on each card. You can filter by industry. Eventbrite, Meetup, Business NSW and your local chamber of commerce are also worth checking.

Are business networking events in Sydney free?

Many are. Council workshops and chamber expos are often free, while summits and conferences usually charge. For events run by outside organisers, the organiser sets the price, so check their page before you go. Where an event hosted on CoHub charges, the ticket price is shown before you RSVP, and CoHub's fee comes out of the host's payout, not on top of your ticket.

Does CoHub run these events?

Most of them, no. Events marked as run by an outside organiser are public events CoHub lists for the community, and CoHub isn't affiliated or partnered with those organisers. Events hosted by CoHub members are run on CoHub, and that's where you RSVP.

Are there networking events in Parramatta and Western Sydney?

Yes. The Sydney list includes Parramatta and Western and South-West Sydney, out to about 50 km from the CBD, so you'll see council and chamber events there alongside the city ones. Each card shows the suburb.

Do I need a CoHub account?

Not to browse. For an outside organiser's event, you register on their site. To RSVP to an event hosted on CoHub, or to mark yourself as interested in an outside one, you need a free CoHub account.

How do I host a networking event in Sydney?

Set the date, the place, the industries it's for, and whether it's free or ticketed. It takes a couple of minutes. CoHub reviews it before it goes live, then invites members in the industries you chose.

Are there online networking events as well?

Yes. CoHub Live has online sessions hosted by CoHub members, plus a list of online webinars run by outside organisations.
