Effective 7 September 2026
Community Guidelines
CoHub Pty Ltd (ACN 701 652 557, ABN 88 701 652 557) — a clear, plain-language set of expectations for Hosts, Members, Posters and Workers using CoHub. Market: Australia (national). Last updated 7 September 2026.
This page is a plain-language guide to how we expect everyone on CoHub to treat each other — it doesn’t replace our legal documents. The binding terms are set out in our Terms of Service, our Host Licence Agreement, our Gigs Agreement, our Trust & Safety Policy, and our Privacy Policy. Where anything here and one of those documents appear to conflict, the relevant legal document governs.
1. Our Community Principles
CoHub is built on three core values, and they guide every interaction on the Platform — online and in person.
- Meet with intention. Show up respectfully, professionally, and with clarity.
- Greet with openness. Treat every person — Host, Member, Poster, Worker — with courtesy and fairness.
- Connect with purpose. Create opportunities, not friction. Build relationships, not problems.
2. Respect and Professional Conduct
Every User must:
- Treat others with respect, courtesy and professionalism.
- Communicate clearly and honestly.
- Avoid harassment, discrimination, bullying or aggressive behaviour.
- Respect cultural, personal and professional boundaries.
- Use CoHub Spaces and Gigs for lawful, constructive purposes.
CoHub has zero tolerance for abusive behaviour, intimidation, threats, or misconduct of any kind.
3. Accuracy and Honest Representation
To keep the community safe and trustworthy:
- Hosts must accurately describe their Spaces.
- Members must accurately describe their intended use of a Space.
- Posters must accurately describe their Tasks.
- Workers must accurately represent their skills, licences and experience.
Misrepresentation harms trust across the whole community and may result in content being removed or an account being suspended or removed from the Platform.
4. Safety, WHS and Emergency Compliance
Safety is a shared responsibility between everyone using CoHub.
Hosts must:
- Provide a reasonably safe environment.
- Communicate emergency procedures, fire exits and safety rules for the Space.
- Ensure the Space complies with work health & safety, accessibility and fire-safety requirements that apply to it.
Members, Posters and Workers must:
- Follow all safety instructions given by a Host or Poster.
- Use Spaces and perform Tasks safely and responsibly.
- Report hazards or incidents promptly.
Unsafe behaviour or an unsafe environment may lead to a suspension or removal from the Platform. Our Trust & Safety Policy sets out CoHub’s fuller safety standard, including our current insurance and verification requirements for Hosts — this page summarises the expectations that sit underneath it.
5. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
All Users must comply with:
- Local, state and federal laws.
- Council rules.
- Building and strata by-laws.
- Industry regulations.
- Permit and licence requirements.
- Work health & safety obligations.
- Insurance requirements.
CoHub is a facilitator, not a regulator — we rely on Hosts, Members, Posters and Workers to meet their own legal obligations, and our Terms of Service set out what happens when they don’t.
6. Permits, Licences and Insurance
Depending on the activity, Users may need business licences, professional licences, food or alcohol permits, event permits, public liability insurance, or trade or industry certifications.
- Posters and Workers must ensure they hold all licences or permits required for the Task.
- Hosts must ensure their Space is legally permitted for its intended use, and hold the insurance our Trust & Safety Policy requires for their Space category.
- Members must ensure their activity is lawful and, where relevant, appropriately insured.
7. Use of Spaces
Members must:
- Respect the Space and its house rules.
- Leave the Space in the same condition it was found.
- Use the Space only for the purpose stated in the Listing.
- Avoid causing damage, nuisance or disruption.
- Respect neighbours, shared areas and building rules.
A Host may report misuse of their Space to CoHub, which can lead to a warning, suspension, or removal from the Platform — see Section 14.
8. Use of Gigs
Posters and Workers must:
- Communicate clearly about the Task.
- Agree on scope before work starts.
- Honour commitments they’ve made to each other.
- Avoid unsafe or unlawful work.
- Respect each other’s time, property and boundaries.
CoHub may intervene or remove a Poster or Worker who breaches these safety or conduct expectations.
9. No Illegal or Prohibited Activities
CoHub strictly prohibits:
- Illegal activities of any kind.
- Dangerous or high-risk behaviour.
- Violence or threats.
- Hate speech or harassment.
- Fraud or misrepresentation.
- Unlicensed professional services where a licence is legally required.
- Activities that breach building, council or strata rules.
A breach of this section may result in immediate removal from the Platform and, where appropriate, a report to the relevant authorities.
10. Privacy, Confidentiality and Data Respect
Users must:
- Respect the privacy of Hosts, Members, Posters and Workers.
- Not record, photograph or film another person without their consent.
- Not misuse personal information obtained through CoHub.
- Not share another User’s confidential business information without permission.
CoHub enforces strict privacy rules of its own too — see our Privacy Policy for what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
11. Cancellations, Changes and Reliability
Reliability builds trust across the community. Users should:
- Honour confirmed Bookings and hired Tasks.
- Communicate early if plans change.
- Avoid last-minute cancellations unless genuinely necessary.
- Respect the cancellation and refund rules that apply to a Booking or a Task.
Repeated unreliability may affect a User’s visibility or access on CoHub. See our Terms of Service for the specific cancellation windows that apply to Bookings and Tasks.
12. Community Integrity and Platform Trust
To protect the community, Users must not:
- Attempt to arrange payment for a Booking or a Task outside CoHub to avoid our fee.
- Create duplicate or misleading accounts.
- Manipulate reviews or ratings.
- Spam or solicit other Users.
- Misuse messaging or networking features.
CoHub may suspend or remove an account that undermines the integrity of the Platform.
13. Reporting Issues
If you experience:
- Unsafe behaviour
- Misconduct
- Misrepresentation
- Damage
- Illegal activity
- Harassment
- Fraud
- A privacy concern
You can report it directly through our Contact page, or — for a specific Booking — via the “Report a problem” link on your bookings dashboard. We investigate every report and take appropriate action.
14. Consequences for Breaches
Depending on severity, CoHub may:
- Issue a warning.
- Restrict access to certain features.
- Suspend an account.
- Remove an account.
- Remove a Listing or a Task.
- Notify the relevant authorities.
- Rely on the indemnity and other protections set out in our legal agreements.
We act on breaches of these Guidelines to protect the community and to uphold the standards set out in our Terms of Service.
15. Our Commitment to You
CoHub is committed to:
- A safe, respectful and professional community.
- Fairness and transparency.
- Clear communication.
- Strong privacy and data protection.
- Continuous improvement.
- Supporting Hosts, Members, Posters and Workers.
- Building real opportunities through genuine connection.
We’re here to help you find space, meet businesses, and grow together — safely and confidently.
