Feed — your CoHub community, in one place

Feed is a simple update stream: post a short message and, if you want, a photo, and it’s visible to your CoHub community. Use it the way you’d use a quick professional status update — what you’re working on, a space you just listed, a gig you just posted, a win worth sharing. It’s also where upcoming MeetGreet events show up, so it doubles as a quick way to see what’s coming up nearby without leaving the page.

Feed is public within the CoHub community, not a private message — treat a post the way you’d treat something posted on a professional network, not a one-to-one conversation. For anything you only want one specific person to see, use messaging instead.

MeetGreet — meet, greet, connect

MeetGreet is CoHub’s events feature — real networking events, in person or online, that any member can browse and RSVP to, or host themselves. It exists for exactly the moments a message thread can’t replace: an actual mixer, a workshop, an industry meetup.

Every event has:

  • A title, description, date and time.
  • A location — either a physical suburb/address, or, for a CoHub Live session, a meeting link instead. See the CoHub Live section below for how that works.
  • An optional capacity limit and cover photo.
  • Industry tags, so it surfaces to the right people when they browse or filter by industry.

Like every listing and task on CoHub, a new event goes through admin approval before it’s visible or RSVP-able — that’s the same quality check that applies everywhere else on the platform, not something specific to you.

RSVPing to an event

Once an event is approved, you can RSVP directly from its page — you’ll need to be logged in to do it. An RSVP is a lightweight “I intend to come” signal for the host, not a payment or a binding commitment.

Hosting your own event

Any member can host a MeetGreet event from the events dashboard. If you edit an already-approved event’s date, time or location afterwards, it goes back through approval before it’s visible again, and everyone who’d RSVP’d or been invited gets an email once it’s re-approved — so don’t worry about losing your RSVPs by fixing a typo, but do expect a short delay if you change the details that actually matter to attendees.

CoHub Live — webinars and virtual sessions

CoHub Live is the virtual side of MeetGreet — the same events feature, just online instead of in a room. It’s built for the sessions location makes impossible to attend in person: a webinar, a panel, an industry Q&A, a virtual mixer for members outside the host’s own city.

A CoHub Live session isn’t a separate thing you set up somewhere new — it’s an ordinary MeetGreet event with the “online” toggle switched on, so everything in the sections above (approval, industry tags, RSVPs, editing) works exactly the same way. What’s different is the location field: instead of a suburb, you paste a meeting link.

Categories

CoHub Live sessions use the same industry tags as any MeetGreet event — Finance & Accounting, Technology, Marketing & Advertising, Legal, and the rest of CoHub’s industry list. Pick whichever apply on the host form, and members can filter CoHub Live by category to find sessions relevant to their industry.

Which platforms work

Any of them. CoHub doesn’t run its own video calling — a host pastes whatever meeting link their own platform gives them (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, GoTo Meeting, Whereby, or anything else), and CoHub Live shows a recognisable badge for the common ones so attendees know what to expect before they click through. Joining just opens that platform in a new tab — no CoHub account beyond being logged in to RSVP, and no extra software to install specifically for CoHub.

Joining a session

RSVP as Going on the session’s page — that’s what reveals the meeting link. It’s hidden from the page until then, both so the link isn’t publicly scrapeable and so a host has a real headcount before the session starts. At the scheduled time, come back to the same page and use the “Join CoHub Live session” button, or use the RSVP confirmation you were sent.

Hosting a session

Set up your own video call first (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet — whichever you already use), then create the event on CoHub the same way you would an in-person MeetGreet, ticking “Make this a CoHub Live session” and pasting your meeting link instead of a suburb. A few things worth knowing before you do:

  • CoHub doesn’t host, record, or moderate the call itself — that all happens on your own platform, under that platform’s own terms. You’re responsible for running the session and for anything that happens on it, the same way an in-person host is responsible for their event.
  • Don’t record a session, or any attendee, without telling people first — most video platforms have a visible recording indicator, but say it out loud too.
  • The same admin approval, editing, and re-approval rules as any MeetGreet event apply — see “Hosting your own event” above.
  • Keep your meeting link working for the full scheduled time. If your platform’s free tier has a time limit (a common one on Zoom’s free plan, for example), check it covers your session before you publish it.

Appropriate use of Feed, MeetGreet and CoHub Live

All three are still part of the CoHub platform and covered by the same rules as everything else — accurate, honest content, no harassment or discrimination, and no using an event listing, a virtual session, or a post for anything unlawful.
